it's not about being a "Christian", per se, because MANY claim this. yet MANY live as the world does, they love the world and things in it, more so than God ,(1John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him). and Jesus said he and his wasn't ,(John 17:16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world).
this is why Jesus said this, concerning MANY...who calls themselves "CHRISTIANS" ,(Matt. 7:22,23 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity).
ANYONE is subject to destruction by Jesus and Jehovah God. this is why Jesus said this ,(Matt. 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven).
so whether "Christian" or not, if we're NOT at least trying hard to follow Jesus examples and teachings. instead living as WE PLEASE! ,(Luke 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me). we have NO ONE to blame for our destruction, but ourselves!
