Jesus did not come to abolish the law.HE said that He came to fulfill it.
When Jesus spoke those words He was speaking to Jews who understood the meaning of the Law and how it applies to their daily lives.
Gentiles, who call themselves Christians, like to think that the Law doesn't apply to them because they belong to some special organization. There are no exclusions from hell because of religious affiliations and there is no such thing as a fire proof membership card. God does not recognize a Get Out Of Jail/Hell Free card.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A LICENSE TO SIN.
Read the Bible. Nowhere does it give an excuse to sin. Forgiveness to sin means that a person is set free to live in the future without it. It means that it is entirely possible for a man or woman to live a sinless life - having been forgiven for their sins.
Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to heaven's favor and deliverance and forgiveness. Admission to heaven is NOT determined by good deeds, by being a nice person or by being a Christian. It has everything to do with living according to the Law as a follower of Christ Jesus. Did HE break the Law? Never. As He lived, so are we called to live By The Law in His name and by His grace.
The Law says that those who do not live by the law will die by the law. Grace and forgiveness are given that those who receive it may obtain favor with God SO AS to live a sinless life according to the Law.
How are these verses 'screwed up' in your eyes?
Do you demand to live your life the way you want without restrictions and demands of the Law? Go ahead, but do not expect special treatment when the wrath of God falls upon you. You have been offered grace in the name of Jesus. If you reject it and live in sin you will be punished for it.
Now is the time to repent of sin, for the day of judgment is nearer than ever before.
and that's me, hollering from the choir loft...
The Christian hell is not a Jewish thing, so where did they get it from?...
You cannot 'do whatever you like'. The Law requires certain behavior toward God. Human and social laws require certain behavior amongst ourselves. How is this too difficult to understand? If you live 'however you like', you are living lawlessly and the Bible NEVER says this is allowable. NEVER.
How would one know that they were doing what is right if they had no measuring stick?...
By using a correct "measuring stick" instead of a possibly faulty one. When faced with a choice, one ALWAYS uses the principle rather than a rule which may or may not express that principle correctly.

I believe every parent implicitly knows that the rules they impose on their young children are based on an underlying principle designed to help them to mature and be more successful in life. For some reason, when they think about rules from our Father, God, they forget about any principle behind them and think that obedience to the law is the important thing. It is mystifying.
You would be surprised what Benny Hinn believes, he believes far more than the name it and claim it and all the other show and tell stuff.
Since "name it and claim it is not Biblical, anyone who teaches it is is a false teacher, just tickling the ears of any who listen and accept it. That theology certainly did not come from Watchman Nee.

Did i credit Watchman Nee with name it and claim it. I saidBenny Hinn believes far more than the name it and claim it and show and tell stuff. Are you purposely misquoting what i have said, because i think i have been quite clear what i have said ?.
Those who do not live by the law shall die by the law. - St. Paul Romans 2:12
"I did not come to abolish the law, but the fulfill it." - Jesus as quoted by Mathew 5:17
Well, Romans 2:12 says, "All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.
And you apparently don't understand HOW "the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." Gal 5:14
But it must be fulfilled as described in I Cor 13:1-8. Can you do that?
