Please do not single anyone or group out with this statement.

I'm wondering when you hear such statements, what is your reaction to it..for example, anger, amuzed, apathetic or bewildered.

Then with that reaction in mind, from scripture, why do you feel that way?

My gut reaction is "Not only is that a lie. It's a d____ lie!" And then I pray for God to tame my tongue before saying it out loud.

Scripturally:
"By their fruits ye shall judge them."
"The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance."

By contrast, the works of the flesh precede that passage and are found in Galatians 5:19-21.

I'm slow, What exactly are you saying? What is the magic prayer?

I believe any sin can be forgiven.

thefer,
A good number of posters make such statements or to that effect. Beyond the , ...or ,....or ....or .....or .... or , or even possible reaction one will have, the questions I that came to mind were

1. How would you react and why
2. Any responce (even if it were none) would be based on what scripture

Neither do I, but the impression of such a thing apparently exists amoung people. And we need to be prepared to answer.

Let's suppose I wrote that to you. What is the Biblical basis that lead you to not believe in "magic" that is beyond IMO?

Although I tend to refrain from scriptural ping pong,
I'll play this one time

"Brothers and sisters:
If you are guided by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
Now the works of the flesh are obvious:
immorality, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry,
sorcery, hatreds, rivalry, jealousy,
outbursts of fury, acts of selfishness,
dissensions, factions, occasions of envy,
drinking bouts, orgies, and the like.
I warn you, as I warned you before,
that those who do such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
In contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, generosity,
faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.
Against such there is no law.
Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified their flesh
with its passions and desires.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also follow the Spirit."

Gal 5:18-25
