glad you mention that. to be fair, however, it should be said we learned the hard way. and, ironically, were supported and aided by americans..

the "peacemakers" of this world in their officialdom may soon realize the help they really needed and how valuable it was to them, imho.

Things are getting worse, the devil hates christians - those in darkness hate the light because it shows up their deeds. We christians need to remember that we are in a spiritual battle. Of course those who hated Christ will hate us. We shouldn't expect anything different, but keep praying that God will touch hearts and save many - the days are short.

As a non believer I will tell you absolutely yes, there is more hostility today. But it's not "the devil", far from it. It's because today's Christians are often loud, obnoxious, and wrong. We have to listed to idiotic things like "the war on Christmas" and be beat over the head with bible verses when discussing public policy and contract law (such as the gay marriage debate). A real problem with Christians taking up strong political positions, becoming more "in your face", and publicly declaring that one can't be a Christian if they...vote democrat, approve of gay marriage, are pro choice, etc. is that the hypocrisy is more evident. The faith has become so fractured that watching Christian vs Christian is doesn't help, not does the rise of ex-christians who often go on to expose things happening within the church that are anything but Christian in nature. Predisent Bush didn't help the cause either.

I've said this before, when you draw a bulls eye on yourself you shouldn't be surprised when people fire at you.

Anyone or any group who make a play for power is going to get raked over the coals. You are not being singled out because of your faith, you are just joining many other groups who have been targets for a long time now. It's actually equality in action.

It's in the Bible guys!!
There is nothing new under the sun"
Spiritual Warfare has been around since Lucifer rebelled!!
We in the western culture, are getting ready to go into it
things have already started changing in this nation...
Just wait a little while longer, you will see things that you have never seen before.
Perilous times are here and will increase!
We are not the enemy (Christians)
Satan is!! he hates you and want to destroy you just like He wants to destroy us , the only difference is that He hates us more because our eyes have been open to his wiles and we are trying to warn anyone by sounding the alarm!! the truth is he hates all of us even those that he already has, because he is the destroyer..
Lord Jesus Have Mercy
In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Matthew 3:16-4:4

And after being baptized, Jesus went up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming upon Him, and behold, a voice out of the heavens, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased." Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And after He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He then became hungry. And the tempter came and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread." But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.'"

It is important to comprehend what secular atheism actually is. In this John Gray helps.

Secular atheism is the political expression of liberal humanism which is the de facto religion of the west. It is a Christian heresy shorn of Christ. Its concepts of human equality creedal and Christian rather than science based, its self belief leading to a totalitarian demand that all public acts be seen through its prism is normal in a young faith.

The parent religion is Christianity so the teenage child kicks against he traces ranting about the inacequacies of the parent as teens do whilst absorbing the worldview of the parent. This is the latest culture war between Christianity and its heresies.

Well, obviously, if there are a whole lot of humans on this earth that don't believe in your bible that means either there is more than one "truth" or that your bible is only YOUR truth... And plenty of us find your "boldly calling others to their faith" MORE than annoying...

Crew Chief, just because you don't believe it, doesn't mean it's not truth. And YOU are in the minority as an unbeliever, not the other way around.

There is a "falling away" that is taking place right now and it comes in many forms....falling away of lukewarm Christians by way of liberalism and political correctness, falling away because of sin and greed that has affected EVERYONE in the US by way of the economy, disillusion due to lack of faith etc. etc....the list is endless. Satan has dumped out his evil bag of tricks, which includes a vast array of false doctrines, as a last ditch effort because he knows his time is short before Jesus returns.

It's all predicted in the Bible because we are living in the last days before Christ's return. The persecution of Christians will get worse, also as predicted. We (fundamental Christians) would like very much for you to see things from the perspective that we do, which is that we simply follow the Bible and it's instructions. That has been twisted by liberals and the media that we are intolerant and that we somehow "hate" certain groups of people and everything we do is "politically incorrect" and self-righteous.

I don't care what name you give it, because I live for Christ, not faithless people who think that this life is worth anything. It's not worth spit...it's a flash in the pan, a twinkling of an eye, a puff of smoke. The ONLY thing that matters is what GOD says. It's in the Bible, check it out.

James 4:14

You are highly mistaken and deceived;
Just be reminded that the men and women with the "bull's eye" on their backs
will be the ones to reign with the Lord when He returns and will be the ones who will judge you unless you have had a change of heart before transitioning this earth.
Listen to St Peter 1:5
‘Protects’ is a military word that has two meanings. It means to guard from attack and to prevent escape. Peter wants to encourage Christians who are suffering for being Christians. God’s power guards their spirits. As they trust in God, his power makes them strong. Then they will not run away from being a Christian.
4and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you, 5who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 6In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Geneva Study Bible Romans 8:33
{27} Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is {p} God that justifieth.(27)
A most glorious and comfortable conclusion of the whole second part of this epistle, that is of the treatise of justification. There are no accusers that we have need to be afraid of before God, seeing that God himself absolves us as just: and therefore much less need we to fear damnation, seeing that we rest upon the death and resurrection, the almighty power and defence of Jesus Christ. Therefore what can there be so weighty in this life, or of so great force and power, that might cause us to fear, as though we might fall from the love of God, with which he loves us in Christ? Surely nothing, seeing that it is in itself most constant and sure, and also in us being confirmed by steadfast faith.

(p) Who pronounces us not only guiltless, but also perfectly just in his Son.People's New Testament

8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? No one can, since God himself has justified them.

The power play is going to be made by God, we have no power within ourselves, but through the Lord Jesus Christ Our Savior and Kinsman RedeemerIt is God that's going to make the power play "
And I double "digg dogg" dare anyone to try and "rake Him over the coals":dubious

p.s. there are millions are Christians whether you know it or not, not all of them are
on the front lines we have many members but one body, don't you concern yourself with
what we are doing, this is God's business, you don't have the legal right to spiritually judge any of God's elect.?

Ilene, I rarely post in religious forums because I think it's a waste of time. The believers will still believe and those of us who don't never get converted. So we'll call it a draw and I'll move on. Have a great day!

LOL. Talk about hypocrisy. Many of those issues are diametrically opposed to Christian values or are tied to Christian values yet you have heartburn that Christians would speak about those issues passionately. You completely disregard the fact that Christians have begun to speak about those issues as liberals, in most cases, have begun to drive changes in the status quo. It's not as if Christians woke up one morning and decided "hey, we're going to make an issue about gay marriage and Christmas." In fact it was merely a response to other groups who decided to wake up one morning and say, "I don't want my employees saying Merry Christmas," or "Let's not allow a nativity scene in the 'town square' though there's been one there every year for as long as anyone can remember," or "though there's never been gay 'marriage' in this country's 200+ years of existence let's claim that it's been a basic human right."

If you want to get all up in arms about people being obnoxious and getting in people's face, you need to start on the other side of the debate.
