I researched the above question looking for specific Biblical passages that say Israel will never be uprooted again after 70 AD. I found the following opinion, among others:
1. It was reborn in 1948. And the Bible says that the Jews will never be taken out of Israel again.
Can someone direct me to specific scripture where God or prophets prophesy that Israel would be destroyed, be restored, then be destroyed for millennia before being restored one last time, never to be uprooted again? As I ponder this, my personal belief is that Jesus' parable of the fig tree was never directed at Israel in 1948. Popular mythology has it that "when its branches are yet tender and put forth leaves you know that summer is nigh" somehow refers to Israel growing leafs (Gaza, Golan Heights, West Bank) in 1967, but apparently all three leaves have either withered and dropped off or are about to in negotioations with Syria and the Palestinians. Israel could very well be destroyed again in a nuclear conflagration (it very nearly lost the war in 1973, notthstanding reports from Arabs that giant angels were on the battlefields fighting against them). Again, if scripture specifically states that Israel will be established a third and final time please direct me to such verses.
