Yep. And the antidote? Live and let live.

The truths
1. the sanctity of human life
2. the dignity of marriage as the conjugal union of husband and wife
3. the rights of conscience and religious liberty.
#1 with the inconvenient truth of blowing babies to tiny bits in their homes in far away lands because they don't have parents that follow your choices of acceptable religions. How 'christian' of them.
#2 these 'good' people are signing a petition that is born in and perpetuates hatred of and discrimination toward those that are different. How 'christian' of them.
#3 I'm sure in their concept of religious liberty also must include liberty FROM any and all religions. Religious liberty, just as long as it is on the approved list. How 'christian' of them.

Well the three main points were:

1. Don't kill babies (went out on a limb with that one)
2. Da Gay don't marry. Current marriage is good. Don't worry about current divorce rates.. concentrate on da Gay marriage.
3. Religious liberties.. they like it.

Those were the three main points that they concentrated on (my wording of course!)

Maybe helping the needy was somewhere in the Don't Kill Babies part..

Now you proved you didn't read it, at least not without prejudice. They say nothing about current marriage being good. Quite the contrary. They say it is bad enough and people shouldn't make it worse.

Wait.. so they don't believe man + woman = the good kind of marriage?

No.. I'm pretty sure that is what they said.

Read it again and get back to me.

Quite the declaration. I'm surprised they didn't declare "murder is bad".

No what they said is that same sex marriages are bad, and that is nothing but bigotry and hatred, and they attempt to justify it in the name of a loving deity? Really?

They didn't need to because everyone knows that but I am glad you put these issues on the same plan as murder. Sin is sin as we all know.

If Jesus said things are wrong I don't take it as hateful. My parents warned me of things not to do and I didn't take it as hateful but trying to teach me to stay away from bad things that would hurt me. Things hurt society as a whole as well.
