Consider the fact that God intended to destroy Isreal and continue the covenant of Abraham thru Moses. Moses begged God to reconsider and the destruction did not come. There has never been a time where the Jews have been wiped out so it is quite clear God is defending His remnant. The same remnant he speaks of over and over again.
The devil himself yearns for the destruction of the Jewish line. That the devil and ultimately many evil and godless men have attempted to do so should speaks volumes as to what God intends. Isreal is a nation right now and is quite clearly the source of contention in every facet of the modern world. Considering Isreal by geography is the connection between three major continents Asia, Africa, and Europe it is quite clear that even back to the sons of Noah this land has always been of divine importance as well. It never was promised to anyone but Isreal by scripture.
God in no way will discount His promise to Abraham. Isreal has reoccupied her land for a reason. Consider that a wise lawyer told the Jewish Pharisees that if Christianity is an act of God you can not stop it. I submit to you that the regathering of Isreal can not be stopped and it will happen. The time is quite ripe for a harvest.
Of course I am generalizing here, but you can get the picture.

Hey, It's some very good generalizing you're doing.
Good post.
Satan is still trying to destroy the Jews in an attempt to prevent God from being able to keep His promises to them. Satan reasons that if he can thwart God's plan regarding Israel, then God is not perfect and therefore is not justified in imprisoning Satan in the lake of fire. (Still future).
