A friend of mine had a modded one and I drove it on a few occasions. It was a fun little car. Great in a straight line, but not much else. Like most FWD cars with power, it was a definite roll queen and could surprise a LOT of people on the highway. The handling was relatively poor compared to something like the Cobalt SS and the ride was buckboard harsh. The seats were fantastic and the radio was decent, but the rest of the interior was rental car grade Neon.
I have heard the term "50,000 miles" motor more then a couple of times when discussing these cars, but that's probably only because kids tend to buy them, put Ebay boost controllers on them, race them for a while before the engines' let go. Even still whenever I see one now, I tend to look and check them out because they are a lot rarer now then they used to be around my area - because I'm guessing most of them have blown up.
