Went out to the car yesterday, rear sliding door would not budge. Not from the outside, not from the inside. I was all set to call the dealership (they didn't answer). Of course it was stuck in the "very slightly open" position so the "door open" message was on the whole time. But after 15 minutes of driving, I tried it again, worked fine.
It was not real cold (about 30F). The child lock was not on. I thought it must be a cable or something as I did not get any movement out of it at all.

So is this a harbinger of a common problem? One of those "oh yeah, they're known for that" occasions?

Those mini van sliding doors have been an issue on all makes and models. Usually there is one guy, at one dealer, in one area that has the expertise to fix it. Key is finding that guy. Good luck.
