Hi! I am moving to Cinci in June and was hoping for some help in finding a area to live. I am a mid-20's single male looking for somewhere in the 600-800 range although I am flexible on that. I would like to have <20 min commute to the business district in the downtown area.

Really, I would like to rent part/all of a house cause I have a dirt bike that I enjoy working on but need a garage for it. Any suggestions?

Also, I had one guy say that he lived in KY for tax reasons, so can anyone tell me if it really is cheaper to live across the river?

Thanks!

You will need to start with craigslist and see if you can find a nice two family with a garage or a first floor unit where you can just drag your bike in. I'd look in Norwood, then Oakley, then go out to Green Township, meaning Bridgetown, Cheviot, and White Oak. You might also look at Deer Park and Hartwell. People on Craigslist lie about where the property is located so always get an address and check for yourself on a map. And post up here if you want an opinion on a specific address.

As for Ky its a toss up tax wise. And, you can't commute to downtown Cincinnati in <20 minutes unless you are in Covington or Newport which you will not want to be.

Hmm... if it weren't for the dirtbike, I'd suggest living downtown. Can't get closer than that, and it's a lot of fun. I'd assume that you're looking for a place to ride as well, though. Those tend to be a bit farther out.

Batavia, or Amelia maybe? That'd put you a bit farther from downtown than you'd like, but I think there might be some places to ride nearby and you could probably find an inexpensive place with a garage.
