Hey there. I'm a new poster to this forum and City-Data, but it seems to attract lots of different folks who value networking for all the right reasons. I'm a local video producer/researcher and my 'quest' is to find about three really good needles in the haystack of the greater Cincinnati area. For a series of rather short-form videos to hit a Scripps Media related outlet, I need to find some homeowners with good house stories. The idea is finding people who bought a housing space and created for themselves a cool-maybe unique-but affordable home out of a place that was waaaaay different when they bought it. It doesn't need to be a bizarre or historic home, just a home that the people have put their hearts into as the newest chapter in the house's "history." We're looking for homeowners probably in their first home, but in any case, probably best in their twenties or more likely thirties, who would enjoy telling their home's stories on camera. WE DO NEED TO VISUALIZE THE PLACE'S "BEFORE" look and story with photos, movies, whatever. DIY-ers come to mind, and folks who take pride in re-purposing materials at a fraction of the cost of new stuff from design showrooms. If you know of a household that has worked a great before-and-after on a home they fell in love with, please let me know. I've seen lots in these threads about cost-accessible area neighborhoods where young people can still buy a home and make it super-nice. Diversity will be a plus, so everyone's welcome. I hope you can help me find these few needles in the haystack--younger homeowners who would like to show and tell their house stories!

Sounds to me like you are looking for people to not only do your research but also provide the majority of the material for your programming. Why did you come to City-Data? Did you figure it was easy pickings? A bunch of young people just falling all over themselves to express how smart they were in renovating their property. Go troll someplace else. I didn't see anything they would receive in return for supporting your business.
