I'll have to do a little research and give it another go.
I assume the pool means the small lake at the eastern edge of the park. The river view vistas are on the western end of the park near Mt Adams. There are walkways along the river with good views. They keep the trees trimmed so as not to block the view.

There is a very secluded CRC swimming pool on Mt. Adams Drive in Mt. Adams. It's a shallow pool that's great for small children.

^^^ I drove around a structure, and at the bottom was a sign that said "Shelter and Pool" so I assume it's a local swimming pool up there.

For the walkways...where would a person park? I didn't see any kind of parking (except at the art museum and playhouse).

You're right ,no lot. It is on street parking only but during the day we've never had problems finding a spot pretty close. There is also a little playground and picnic tables.

It's not a "scenic" (great views of the city) location because it's completely surrounded by trees.

I remember an era when trees were not a problem. Perhaps they quit trimming them due to a cost or environmental issue. Too bad, it was a great panoramic view. Guess you will have to check out those Mt Adams locations for a good view of the City.

Odd...I went out to Eden Park's blurb on the Cincy Parks website, expected to see a little map or some info on where the picnic areas are, where the overlooks are, where the walking trails are...nothing. Just a short paragraph on the park and a link to Google Maps, which doesn't show that stuff.

I'm going to take one more run up there tomorrow, so I hope I can find some kind of marking or something that says "Picnic area this way" or "Walking path straight ahead" - otherwise, it'll have to wait for another day, when I have more time to properly explore it.

There are at least 3 overlooks identified on what is called Cliff Drive. And I know at least one of them has a completely unobstructed view of the river. The walkway in that area is bordered by a short wall which people use like a park bench.

^^^ Thanks, I'll give that a shot. I did manage to find a map at one of the rental properties' websites - that shows two overlooks; one near the art museum and one near Twin Lakes.

That's my lunch plan tomorrow.

The swimming pool we are talking about is NOT the retaining pool in Eden Park.

Mt Adams Pool

To the OP:
If you'd like an inexpensive place to grab lunch or a drink in Mt. Adams you might want to try City View Tavern. (403 Oregon St) It's a bit of a dive with an incredible view of the city and a pretty good burger & beer.
