My advice is to figure out where you'll be working, and look at other factors you need to consider (children/schools, walkability, type of house you want/yard size, commute). Once you have this down, come back and give us those parameters. Cincinnati is great and is very, very affordable. You'll be pleasantly surprised to see what 400K will buy you here. Best of luck!

If you live in Hyde Park/Mt Lookout your kids would attend Kilgour or Hyde Park Elementary. Which rate just as good as (and often better) than most suburban elementary schools. But old stereotypes die hard.
