My husband and I are interested in a house in Union Township. We currently live in Northern Kentucky so we're familiar with the Cincinnati area in general, but no real familiarity with that area. Can I get some general thoughts about what it's like out there in terms of shopping, restaurants, parks, travel into downtown Cincinnati, etc.? Also, if there are any weird things to be aware of, like any new industry coming in, loud noises, smells, etc, let me know. Thanks!

There are two different Union Townships in the Cincinnati metropolitan area. One is in Clermont county and the other is in Butler county.

The travel between Union Township Butler County and downtown Cincinnati on the highway during non rush hour times is about a half an hour. During rush hour it can vary depending on circumstances up to 2 hours during inclement weather or if a traffic accident occurs on the highway. You can save time if you get on Spring Grove ave to Vine to bypass any traffic issues in the Cincinnati - Elmwood Place - St Bernard portion of I-75 but once you get to Lockland you are out of luck if there are traffic issues up there also.

There is also a Union Township in Warren County, just a couple of miles from the Butler/Warren County line (surrounding the southern portion of Lebanon). There are several interchanges with I-71 in the immediate area.
