I will be moving to Cincinnati and need a trailer or POD/Relocube unloaded. It is probably less than 12 linear feet of material but will need to be moved up a flight of stairs in an older house. Can anybody recommend reliable local movers who will unload. Or can anyone recommend RELIABLE day labor agencies for this task?

Thank you

I just used "Two Men and a Truck" and got very good service. They also do loading and unloading services if that is all you need.

Don't use Brendamour. They wrecked more of my stuff than I care to think about.

Brendamour is absolutely the pits and did a lot of damage when they moved us from Cleveland to the Chicagoland area. We had arranged to have professional Mayflower folks unload and unpack the goods. Instead, the driver brought his two teenaged kids and they did more damage than good. (To moving companies: NEVER try to mess with the people who authorize the payment of the bill.)

As for day labor, we used Labor Ready for basic labor. They bill for under $20/ hour with a 4 hour minimum.

For furniture moving, we have always called one of the national companies. They generally bill $75/hr with a 2-4 hour minimum. However, when you get professionals, it is well worth the money to get people who can move furniture without destroying the walls.

Hope that helps.

I used someone I found on emove (U-Haul subsidiary, eMove.com - Your one stop moving shop.). 3 ds & 1 g. They were very good, and I've used them a couple of times since then.
