Or Austin.

Houston also has lots of high tech jobs in the oil/gas & medical sectors.

Yeahhh, I think those two come in for the top 10. Houston's is actually one of the fastest growing too. I saw an article that was posted right here in one of these threads from Kidphilly I believe it was a Yahoo article that had it listed as the top location for the future for that sector right behind Austin.

Anyways those five cities on the OP's list deserve props. But I'm actually surprised with Washington DC being there to tell you the truth.

Nahhh, those first five cities (although I'm literally shocked at DC) actually do deserve it more than Houston on this one. We'll see in the future.

DC is actually very big in Tech - a ton of defense dept work and related companies. Plus there is the NASA center in greenbelt and all the NSA etc.


It all may not be tech in the traditional sense but a ton of pretty advanced work going on there, maybe the fastest segment of growth in DC over the last 10-15 years
