Both are on the east coast. What are the noticeable differences? Pros and cons of each city when compared?

The Boston metro is much larger with more variety in education, art, sports, food, entertainment, etc. Boston is also a port city with a much higher density. Boston also has international recognition and influence.

Richmond is much smaller, and has some nice city areas. It is pretty walkable, but offers much less and is much less known. Richmonds history is much more known for it's involvement in the Civil War, whereas, Bostons more well-known for its involvement in the Revolution.

I think both have great architecture and history, but Boston's just much larger.

Sorry but the inquiry is far too vague for a comparision. You need specific criteria you'd like to compare. See the room sticky for posting guidelines please: What To Post In This Room (and - NOT). READ BEFORE POSTING ****
