Miami has a more diverse Latin American population, I think it goes w/o mentioning that it has a more diverse Caribbean population(I place it under the Latin American category, but other's don't) and a more diverse European population.
Miami also has a slightly more diverse black population.

Do you realize Houston has more Asians, more Africans, it does come behind Miami in Latin Americans aside from Mexican and Central American where it dominates Miami. European in Miami is larger.
Houston is light years ahead of Miami in both diversity and integration. Miami still has barrios.
Houston is easily the most diverse city in South ethnically, Miami lacks Asian diversity it is quite pitiful and Houston has good Latino base not like Miami's but still rather strong.
