Based on this site I'd say San Francisco & New York City by far, its not like this in real life though.

I agree. In real life I've only met one person from San Fran who got all superior about that city. I was working retail at an electronics store my last few years of college and there was a 40 year old guy there who always go on about how Atlanta wasn't a "real city", that San Fran was the best place on earth and that the south was full of nothing but uneducated hicks.

Then I realized that he was 40 year old man, making $10/hour just like I was, and wore hawaiian shirts every day. That made me feel better.

I would imagine that the people who always get in a huff about how much their city is better than another city are probably just like that guy.

I wouldn't say new yorkers have a superiority complex but they are definitely scared to live any place else other than NYC.

Atlanta and Austin I would say for sure have a superiority complex. Any recently crowned "it city".

St. Louis

I have never seen civic boosterism to the extreme that i have seen in this area. The only problem is that its all talk and no action. The downtown is rundown and many big projects are incomplete or unmaintained. Byt they did manage to get the i-64 repairs completed on time - although I can't figure out why they had to shut down a section of interstate for 18 months to complete those repairs.

But don't tell that to a homer without getting your head chewed off.

To be far to Saint Louis, I've heard that the citizens of other smaller midwestern cities behave in similar manners.

shutting down i-64 really didn't affect traffic as bad as people thought it would. Traffic isn't really a problem in St. Louis, so that's just a swipe that didn't land. Desperate?

Downtown is on the upswing. Were you there ten years ago? It could only get better. It isn't boosterism either its generally well wishing and rooting for the city. You confuse the two.

There are stalled projects around the country. Another moot point. Another punch that didn't land. Take a look at skyscraperpage and look at the buildings that haven't gone up around the country.

DinsdalePirahna you should just move to the city that fits you because its clear you don't care to make a difference in St. Louis. You're just a big mean Grinch.
