Both are great cities in their own right...
I have a preference for the style of city DC is though. Also for its proximity to other great cities.

And will still fall far short of LOS ANGELES just like CHICAGO does right now" when are you people going to get it through your heads " that you will never have 10,000 foot snow capped MOUNTAINS and the other Spectacular Topography of LOS ANGELES CA....now will you....(?)

You don't understand that to us ( those that Love LA ) city-data polls and what some people on the EAST COAST SAY mean nothing to us in rating LA to any and ALL EAST COAST CITIES....they all fall
short with the one exception of ZOO YORK CITY......howest2008

He was just showing videos man and most people would be interested to see them from both DC or LA, beats us who don't live in either or know the knitty gritty from doing lots of work. As those on the WEST COAST SAY, CHILL OUT BRAH.

I'm pretty sure he knows there are no mountains, and I'm pretty sure people know those who like nature and great weather no matter the style of the city, and those that would rather have an urban environment, it's no big deal. There are plenty of people on this board that like both cities but have no real desire to live in either. I would prefer living in DC over LA, who cares. Lots of people would prefer to live in Seattle over DC or LA... again, who cares. If it fits what they want more, that is great for them and creates one more person bitching about where they are currently at. I wish all the people from Florida who complain would go back to wherever they came from, and all the people that whine about California being diverse or expensive would go back wherever they came from, and all those who moved to NYC and think it's a rat hole would go back to whatever podunk town they came from... It would be a much happier place like that.

I personally like the architechure. I'm not a fan of west coast architechure personally. No row homes or density on the west coast. Not my cup of tea but to each his own.

You personally have terrible taste then. This stuff is going up on the west coast, too, and it's awful there as well. Rowhomes and the like from ages past often look great--the new stuff being put up is crap looking and its growing like a goddamn cancer throughout new urban developments.

I also have no idea what part of west coast architecture you're referring to, and I didn't cite any particular west coast architecture. I do like a lot of the neutra houses in LA though.
