What are the top 5 cities with the most extensive bike share networks and most bike share users? How much is it spreading out into the suburbs? What cities have plans to add bike share stations?

Outside of Denver and talk of one in DC, I don't know of any others. Unfortunately the out of control bike-theft problem in the US is probably going to hamper much development. It's sad, since so many other countries have had such success with the program.

Minneapolis has Nice Ride MN which allows people to rent bikes many different ways - from hourly to an annual membership.
