Some major cities are large and feel big but lack the international flair, the restaurant scene, festivals, downtown overall sophistication, nightlife and so on. This isn't about what city has the most diverse population because some diverse cities have a less international feeling downtown scene.

My list would be the usual suspects at the the top.

1. New York, Ny
2. San Francisico, Ca
3. Boston, Ma
4. Miami, Fl
5. Washington D.C.
6. Chicago, Il
7. Los Angeles, Ca
8. Las Vegas, Nv strip
9. Seattle, Wa
10. Philadelphia, Pa
11. San Diego, Ca
12. San Antonio, Tx
13. New Orleans, La
14. Denver, Co
15. Dallas, Tx
16. Houston, Tx
17. Minneapolis,Mn
18. Atlanta, Ga
19. Baltimore, Md
20. Detroit, Mi

I'm having trouble with the concept of "international flare"...

Downtown Chicago has almost no "international flair". So how is it #6 on your list?

At under 90,000 full time residents, Miami Beach is more international than most of that list.

"Downtown International Flair"

Well flair makes me think a certain style about it, and downtown is another key aspect. As a result my answer is:

1. Miami
2. Honolulu
3. San Juan (PR)
4. San Diego
5. NYC
6. San Francisco

These are the places that have the most international vibe and feel the least like America. They're also all the places I'd rather live!

San Francisco, New York, Miami, and Los Angeles would be the top 4.
