How can you compare Miami's skyline to Chicago's??

Miami has no density! no historical architecture..just looks nice from the afar.

LOL! That is obviously your opinion. IMO, a lot of Miami's high-rise buildings, including office, residential, and hotel are uninspiring. The architecture looks like something one would find in a suburban office park.

Yeah, the Miami inferiority complex or whatever is driving the desperate boosting has gotten kinda bizarre.

Chicago's buildings old and ugly? Half the buildings are project housing?

They tore all the projects down, so I'm pretty sure it's not half. More like zero. As stated above, there are literally dozens and dozens of new buildings, and Chicago is one of the premier architectural cities in the world, people come here to show off new concepts and ideas. How can you say it's all drab ugly architecture???

So I guess it's safe to say you have no idea what you're talking about.

Thats just phenomonal in every sense of the word. Chicago's buildings are, IMO, the most diverse and architecturally striking examples in the USA. There is a reason it is voted as having the best skyline, and all the new projects are just adding to the wonder that is Chicago.

Nice list, too! Thats a staggering amount of projects. Some people on this site are excited when they see a crane or two operating on buildings in their downtowns... at any given time you can look across Chicago's skyline and see dozens in action, its incredible. Here, noone bats an eye at cranes anymore, theyre that much of a part of life that they go unnoticed.

chicagos tallest 4 buidings show the typical trend in chicago. Old or plain looking buildings that are just very very tall. wait until the spire I guess.

Yes, Chicago style architecture. I like those four building you mentioned, they are a symbol of our city.

Those four towers would dwarf the entire Miami skyline.

Miami's skyline is impressive for a city its size, don't get me wrong. But the skyline has no height and really left me underwhelmed.
