I apologize if this has already been done already. I checked to see if there was a thread like this already, and nothing came up. Which city would you rather live in...And if you wouldn't want to live in any, which one do you perfer over the other? They are both A metro area of two dominating cities...

Housing Prices: Dallas probably has lower housing prices.
Universities: The Metroplex probably has more universities overall but the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities is considered to be superior to all of them.
Climate/Weather: Honestly they both suck. Pick your poison.
Public Transit: Dallas has a much larger light rail system compared with Minneapolis. However I think the bus system in Minneapolis is superior. Minneapolis also has a large system of bike paths as well although Dallas is not far behind.
Traffic: Honestly they both suck.
Art Scene: I am not really familiar with the art scenes in either city.
Music Scene: Both cities have a pretty good music scene.
Urbanality: Minneapolis has the edge here. Most of Dallas is basically post WWII suburbia.
Airport: DFW has more international nonstop flights compared with MSP but I prefer MSP overall.
Scenery: I consider Minneapolis to have much better scenery than Dallas however Dallas is a short drive to Caddo Lake and the Texas Hill Country.
Better Vibe(To you): Minneapolis for me. Dallas is okay but I am not a fan of the Texas State Government.
Shopping: Metroplex
Econemy:
Skyline: Metroplex, I just really enjoy the Dallas Skyline
Schools: Tie, suburban areas all across the country tend to fall along the same statistics. Urban areas is a different story though.
Housing Prices: Twin Cities
Universities: Metroplex (2011 US News & World Report has U of M 67th best National University while Southern Methodist is ranked 56th National University. Not a huge jump but it is what it is)
Climate/Weather: Tie, one has extreme summers, the other has extreme winters Public Transit: Metroplex
Traffic: Twin Cities, that texas traffic is brutal and more people usually means more traffic and with 2 million more people traffic should be worse than the twin cities
Art Scene: Twin Cities
Music Scene: Depends on what you like
Urbanality: Twin Cities since the core cities are more compact if you like that type of thing
Airport: Never had to goto either. I'm a driver
Scenery: Twin Cities by a long shot
Better Vibe(To you): Slight edge to the metroplex, but both areas have tremendous pride in the amenities they offer
the one you choose: Metroplex
Dallas metroplex gets too hot in the summer.
Twin cities are just weird....their upper midwest location makes them even weirder.
Can you explain this please?
