We could go back and forth all day long citing sources, making lists, quoting facts -- but that's not the point. Point is, an awful lot of film / tv production takes place beyond the three cities the OP listed -- a huge amount in both Atlanta and New Orleans. And the vast majority of consumers -- people who watch these movies and TV shows -- aren't even aware. That's a big testament to the quality of productions Georgia and Louisiana turns out. When multiple TV series that are SET in LA are in fact FILMED in Atlanta, and people don't even notice ... thats a big deal. However, within the Atlanta entertainment industry there's a big push on now to have shows / films not just shot there, but set there too -- the city and state are kinda growing weary of being "stand-ins" for other places. That's why we're starting to see more and more productions that are obviously Atlanta centric -- beyond all of Tyler Perry's stuff, of course, which has never apologized for being 100 percent about Atlanta.

I agree becuase both of these states have made great strides. Louisiana is also having a lot of TV series and movies set there as well besides just being filmed there. And of course Tyler Perry is from Louisiana.

I agree. I think I should have added Atlanta to the poll options.
The cities you mentioned were fine. Atlanta is in allot of films, but there is also Miami, Las Vegas, New Orleans, among others. However, the lions share goes to the three cutie mentioned.
It's always nice to see another locale other than NY, LA or Chicago. The NY and Chicago sitcoms seems to be indoors, in a few rooms, at all times. LA shows a little more of the outdoors, but not much more.
Bring on the other places. It seems like most times I've been to Vancouver BC, they're filming something. Vancouver (and Toronto) are big TV and movie production locales.
I voted for "Other". NYC, LA, and Chicago are all great, but it does get tiresome seeing them so often. Watching movies and tv it sometimes seems like New York is the only urban area in the US and California is the exclusive outdoor venue in our country.
Personally, I enjoy a bit more variety. I especially like things set in the deep south and it is great seeing both Atlanta and New Orleans becoming more common settings. Other places like DC, Boston, Seattle, and Arizona are also quite interesting.

I really hate the fact that he does his filming in Atlanta rather than New Orleans. Maybe he'll rebuild his studio in New Orleans.
