Chicago has the 5th highest % foreign born population in the United States; 21.7% in 2000. 36% of New York City's population is foreign born.

Also, New York City's foreign born population is probably less dominated by one ethnic group.

Ummm take a look around. Or better yet google it. Chicago has many many examples of gothic architecture. Wrigley building, tribune , public library, 1st Presbyterian church, Excalibur and these are just a few examples. Look up next time your in town your sure to see a gargoyle or two

Not saying that Chicago is the forefront in Gothic Architecture, but it sure has plenty. To "LOL" to that statement, shows your ignorance and arrognace if you ask me. Educate yourself. The internet is a wonderful tool.

To say Chicago has more Gothic Architecture than NYC or is "more Gothic" is not even close to accurate.

Who is saying that Chicago has more Gothic architecture than NYC?!?!?! Certainly not me. I think you need to direct that to the appropiate person.

What really "urban" parts of Chicago feel grimey and gritty? People say that Manhattan has been sanitized and "yuppefied," but Downtown Chicago is sparkling clean and the Northside is Yupster Central.

Gotham City is supposed to be a really built up city. As you can see from these videos, NYC is so much more built up than Chicago outside of its Downtown core.

No! You are wrong. Just kidding.

I can certainly see why Gotham is more like NYC. After reading all these threads I am starting to think Metropolis is more like a mix of Toronto and Chicago. There is something just more "airy" and modern to Metropolis as opposed to Gotham which probably feels more like Manhattan in it's built structure/layout.
