LOL...Boston is not known for low taxes just like the Bay Area so I dont get that--and property taxes are wayyy higher in Boston than out here.

As far as income disparity, SURE The East Bay is home to lots of rich people and lots of poor people that are clawing their way into assimilation in a new country.

Anyway, we all know that Boston has wayyy greater population density than Oakland--thats's undebatable, but we do score points on the Metro Division level as far as how far density spreads out from Oakland itself.

That map is wrong that puts somervill under 5000ppsm when it has 1800ppsm
truth is i could find a quadruillion numbers that put Boston ahead of Oakland, but it is pointless, you are agruing the equivilant to Providence>Houston because look at the CSA

Actually Somerville is indeed dark purple. Just got the NYTIMES map I took it from and see for yourself:

Whats the definition needed for a Metro Division? it looks like it is Boston, Everett, Quincy, Revere, Brookline and Chelsea, and thats it.
