If you go five miles on either side you are in the country while as you go straight north or south you are in a sprawl of suburbs. Our people are spread out. If we had the same size of county in our city just in the city limits it would still be extremely democrat even if we make a county a little north of lets says Norwood it would still be democrat.
you live in an alternate reality, to which there is empirical data proving otherwise. hamilton county is about 50% blue. hamilton county includes the city of cincinnati. that is a fact. that is a fact that you cannot refute. st. louis county is 55 or 56% blue (at least), which does not even include the city of st. louis, which by itself is 84+% blue. these are facts. facts that cannot be refuted. st. louis is a much more liberal city than cincinnati. this is not something that is debatable.

btw, st. louis hasn't had a republican mayor since 1949.

Yes they are facts but you have to look more deply into where the facts are coming from...please i dont want to explain again. St. Louis has two counties one is freakin 6 miles long the other is still extremely small and there are covering the city and the suburbs unlike cincinnati where the counties are covering urban and country hint hint hamilton county. Lets talk about crime in st. louis shall we?

if crime is all you got, then go for it. i've lived in the city of st. louis for 4 years and have never had a problem. you want to come across as sounding like you take everything at face value, go right ahead. st. louis is much worse on paper in crime than cincinnati. in reality, it depends where in st. louis you live, just as it does in every city. so there, you win. i happen to be one of the 80% of people in st. louis who doesn't live in a terrible neighborhood. you sound sheltered, ignorant and downright suburban with your "oh my, the crime is so bad" antics. really. do you ever leave your little bubble? who cares, you're just grasping for straws. st. louis crime is not nearly as bad as you make it out to be. raw numbers do not account for crime distribution/concentration. there are some bad neighborhoods, yes, but the vast majority of people in the city of st. louis are not in any more danger than the vast majority of people in any other major city.

Guys, this is ridiculous. The OP has chosen Louisville, which although a little smaller than Cincinnati or STL, it offers almost all the same amenities and is more "livable." Please redirect to help the OP or else make a new thread so STL and Cincy can duke it out. Both are fine cities, but still have issues with crime and urban decay due to their former status as top 10 American city and with major post WW2 population loss. However, both have made a great come back and are two of my favorite American cities.

Each city has something that make it special and unique...BUT... STL, Cincy, and yes, even Louisville all share waaay more in common than you think. Think river, history, steam boats, river trade, irish/german catholic immigrants, large industrial centers, a decline after the wars, then a renaissance in the 21st century.

Calm things down or this thread will get closed please.

Last warning or the thread is closed. I will continue to delete personal attacks, trolling, and off topic posts. Congratulations to the OP for picking a fine city to move to, Louisville.
