It may not be exactly like Miami but it is similar. I know for a fact that its very close to Orlando's.
Miami is, on average, 7 degrees warmer than Houston. The summer months are somewhat comparable, but Houston is considerably cooler, for most of the year.
Miami stays consistently warmer year round (further South) while Houston's weather varies & can get come cool fronts in the Fall, Winter, & Early Spring. Both are flat coastal cities with high humidity all the time.

Tropical vegetation thrives in both of them.
No it's not. Houston is in a subtropical climate. Miami is straight tropical. There summers are different as Miami gets more daily showers from the sea breeze to cool off. It is rare for Miami to get even into the mid 90s much less the upper 90s and 100 unlike Houston. Houston can sometimes get a threat of wintry weather. Miami gets no threat at all. Houston gets colder than Miami in the winter time.
Dallas has gotten more snow then Atlanta has in recent years though to be honest.
Yes this can happen as Dallas is the closest to the Rocky Mountains of the 3 cities where a lot of winter storms get started. A lot of times they may not make it as far East as Atlanta or South as Houston. Dallas also doesn't have the coast or mountains to moderate temps, but Dallas, being further South than Atlanta, closer to the SW deserts and at a lower altitude aid it in have a very short cold weather season.
