For me:

Walk Score: 98
Transit Score: 100!
Bike Score: 77

And though my Walk Score is 98, if you take the walk score of the point about 500 feet to the southwest of my address (half a block south, and one block west), you get a Walk Score of 100!

Walk 85
Transit 86
Bike 68

Likewise, just moving 2 blocks down the street takes the walking score to 97. Most people are too lazy to walk more than 1/4 mile, apparently.

The reason the bike score is so low is because I live on a fairly steep hill.

About 4.5 miles north of downtown Chicago:

Walk 97
Transit 84
Bike 77

Actually surprised the transit score is so low, 11 bus lines running around the area and train lines just down the street. Wouldn't ask for much more.

7 miles south of downtown Chicago:

Walk-83
Transit-74
Bike-58

The low bike score is a little surprising. The lakefront bike trail is only about one mile to the east.

"Only" 1 mile? A mile is a lot. How are the bike lanes and paths in your immediate area? That's what these scores measure. Not stuff a mile away.

It might help if we knew where you were.

My area is the South Dorchester section of Boston

Walk: 71
Transit: 82
Bike: 47

BTW Mr. Vincent, do you live on a subway platform? I live two blocks from a major subway station and I only got an 82 score for that.

There are bike lanes as well as bike paths in parks to the east and west. If something 1 mile away isn't in your immediate area then what is? A mile is a long walk but it's an awfully short bike ride to the park and over to the lake.

Wow that site is WAY off for my little town. Has businesses listed as grocery stores that are antique shops, auction houses, and gas stations. Restaurants listed that are miles away, but no mention of the ones that are within a couple blocks (and have been there for 20+ years). Not one single category is even close to being correct.

What is my walk score? Good question, that isn't answered anywhere I can find online.

The front door of my building is a 20-30 second walk from a subway entrance. I also have a frequent overnight bus route that passes within a 1 minute walk of my building (the nearest stop is about a 3 minute walk from my building). Even at 3am there is a bus passing by in each direction on that route every 10 minutes or so.
