I was talking about larger metros though - meaning about 3 million and up at the smallest.

The person I was quoting put Des Moines in the 5-8 hours range from Minneapolis, that's what I was responding to.

3 million is also a very very large size for a city.

Lakes, while there are some they are not large, Beaches (Hands down Philly with the Jersey shore in the CSA), Piers/Boardwalks, again maybe the best boardwalks in the country and the Chesepeake is amazing.
