Well there's something Texans have in common with Canadians, then... extreme politeness. It's really sensational in a bigger city like Toronto - I mean how polite people are. All the hustle and bustle of NYC but with ''sorry'', ''pardon me'' ''thank you'' and doors being held left and right, everywhere you go.

Now as far as approachability goes, I reckon Canadians can come off as a little reserved.

I've never spent much time up in Canada so I can't really comment on how people are up there, I imagine French Canadians are very different from English-Speaking Canadians. I do love the hunting up there though, some of the best in the world! But Texas has some great hunting as well.

Its about nothing more than, where would you rather live. I would live in Texas and visit (periodically) Canada. Its too damn cold heading north, starting in Oklahoma let alone Canada!

You cannot compare a country to a state.

Dining? Texas? Really?! Canada has Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal when it comes to food. Texas only really has Houston, and Dallas is ok nothing great though.

Anyway not even going to bother your post is outrageous.
Then why did you?

Anyway for a foodie Texas is very diverse...

Canada needs to figure out what it is first, and what its true identity is before it could ever really be compared to Texas or any other state.

Canada are you British or American ? If you are going to remain a Monarchy, you should at least get your own Monarch don't you think?
