Atlanta- No Question, especially with the new 1.6 billion stadium at this point almost 5 years old. This stadium is being built for Soccer for the new team for ATL in 2017.
I think Qatar will retain the 2022 World Cup. They are investing billions to prepare for it. Why do you think they will strip it of the World Cup?
Most of the USA is not soccer obsessed and wouldn't want the distraction of hosting a World Cup im. Seattle might be interested and LA but I doubt NYC or Chicago would even want it.
Part of the reason those cities were chosen, was the fact that they already had the infrastructues in place to handle huge crowds for the events. I'd imagine if the US got it, it'd be organize around cities that had huge NFL venues to handle it. Tho I think Detroit would be out since the Silverdome has been decomissioned. It could hold 85,000 at capacity where Ford Field can only handle 65,000. They'd have to take it 20 miles west to Ann Arbor for the 112,000 Michigan stadium.
Does anyone know the minimum capacity required by FIFA for these games?

Corruption. Several sponsors are not happy with it being in Qatar because of the corruption.

Ford Field would be fine, considering that some of the stadiums used for this World Cup held only 35-50,000.
Personally, I think that Giants Stadium, Century Link Field, Soldier Field, Texas Stadium, Levi's Stadium, Rose Bowl, FedEx Stadium, Gillette Stadium, Georgia Dome, Sun Life Stadium, NRG Stadium and the last spot between Mile High, Vikings Stadium, Edward Jones Dome and Ford Field.

The problem is that's a Mexico game. The Mexican fans are crazy support active of there team and with large Mexican populations throughout the country sell out the G-Dome shouldn't be hard. No one knows if the Americans or another country will have the same consistent draw.
