po-boy: Your 5 thoughts are precisely what I hoped to hear about the triangle area on this forum! Thanks for sharing! After reading your post, I feel much more comfortable with making a move to my preferred city of Raleigh (triangle area, in general).
po-boy, Taynxtlvl, Mutiny 77: I lived in the twin cities, and if Minneapolis didn't offer something, more than likely it could be found in St. Paul, and vice versa. I do love the idea of 3 closely connected cities in one large tri-city area.
Your post was so helpful for me to read! Thank you all for taking the time to help me think through the advantages of the triangle area. Greatly appreciate your assistance.
Mutiny 77: It's good to hear your thoughts about how the university town atmosphere of the triangle generates much in the way of art. Good to know. Also, I was not aware the Durham Performing Arts Center has such fan/audience support in the area! Sounds like a great theatre. I saw Phantom in NYC. Amazing. Loved Les Miz better, but Phantom is a close second for me.
