I am watching Jingle All the Way, which was shot in Minneapolis. What large American city gives you the brilliant colors, a chance of snow, busy streets and malls, other than Minneapolis? Would it be all of the large midwest cities?
Traditional means different things to different people and cultures. It seems to me that your question is of the Norman Rockwell/"Coca Cola Santa" variety.

Sure. Chicago is probably the quintessential example of this kind of Christmas feel, but of course non-Midwestern cities like NYC, Philly, and Boston would exemplify equally as well.

NYC is probably my favorite city, but it is a little over the top. Not worse, but not that quaint middle-America feeling.
