Miami Beach or Palm Beach, Florida
Manhattan Beach/Hermosa Beach/Redondo Beach, Los Angeles (LA)
Atherton, San Francisco (SF)
New York

I want to know the 'vibe' of the said areas and which area has large single home mansions, nice views and not crowded.

That piece kind of eliminates every choice you've given.

Is the "not crowded" criteria piece a must-have? If so, you should reconsider different areas. Most all are crowded at various densities.

Not enough information to answer the question. Where in Europe is my primary home? What are my interests?

Personally, as a practical thing, I'd want to be near a major airport with frequent service so I can get between my two residences easily. LA and San Francisco from Europe are painful flights. Even Miami is a pretty long ride. I'd be more prone to pick Boston or New York for the short flight. Summer house on Nantucket. Summer house in the Hamptons. If I lived in a European city, I'm not sure why I'd want a 2nd home in a US city unless it was work-related.

None of those choices appeals to me in the least. I would go with Incline Village, Nevada.

None of those. I'd pick Newport Beach or Laguna Beach, CA.

Should've been an option in this poll, for other. Where to me, something like Block Island (RI), Newport (RI), Nantucket (MA), or somewhere in *Maine would be a good choice here. Particularly if you don't want too long of a flight, to Europe.

If I was looking in Canada, Saint John's, Halifax, or anywhere in Prince Edward Island would also be a good choice.

I guess for Maine, you might have to fly to Boston to transfer to a Europe bound flight? If so, that's okay. And this is a question where I should check the available flights, on flightconnections.com.

Thanks for all the responses.

These are the things that matters to me most:
(1) I have family in New York.

(2) I live in West Europe.

(3) I don't care about the weather.

(4) I can afford large single home mansions. There is no budget.

(5) I'm in fashion.

(6) I don't like creepy animals, crocidiles/alligators/snakes etc.

(7) When I say "not crowded" I meant in a suburb in said locations.

I’ve flown from Logan to Owls Head when my mom had a house on Penobscot Bay in Tenants Harbor. Not much different than Cape Air to Nantucket or the Vineyard.

We have talked about doing a Portugal Golden Visa. Buy a 500k Euro condo, pay an attorney, and you have your visa. 5 years later, you take a language proficiency test and get your EU citizenship. The idea was to snowbird in the Algarve and keep the Massachusetts summer house. Once we have EU citizenship, we can sell the condo and change countries if we want.

Based on what you've told us about yourself, if I were you say...6 years ago... I would have easily said New York. The Fashion industry is there, Hollywood, Wall Street, etc. But now post pandemic, things have obviously shifted. If you're based in the fashion business, it isn't a smart idea to live out west because of the time difference. You'll have to be in Europe or South America often and getting to both from the west coast adds four to five hours to your commute. Not to mention the insane politics that have turned CA into a crime ridden homeless encampment. You'll be taxed over 45% of your income and get nothing in return.

The best place for large single home mansions with nice views and a high quality lifestyle is easily Palm Beach. It traditionally has skewed older but has many younger families and crowds now due to the pandemic exodus. It's quiet and pristine, lots of nice restaurants, the beach is beautiful, and the city caters to a wealthy class. Palm Beach airport takes you to New York in as little as 2 hours. If you drive or take the train down to Fort Lauderdale airport, you can fly to any European country in under 10 hours.
