Vibrancy: Tie?

Downtown: SLC

People (Friendliness): Raleigh

Education: Raleigh

Cuisine: Raleigh

Scenery: SLC - Raleigh is beautiful and I can definitely appreciate trees/greenery. However SLC's setting is more unique and more striking. I also prefer a city where you can see far distances without

Economy: SLC - Not sure about the change in the last 3 years, but in 2015 SLC's GDP was larger than Raleigh's. This may not be the case now though, since Raleigh's was gaining fast and not far behind.

Diversity: Raleigh - SLC is probably one of the least diverse major US cities

Amenities: SLC - SLC seems to have more to do, much better public transportation, more shopping options, etc

Walkability: SLC - According to Walkscore, SLC scores a 57 while Raleigh only scores a 30. Pretty big difference. It is fair to take into account that Raleigh is larger in population and land area, however SLC's neighborhoods still score a lot higher.
