Both towns have a huge tourist base and attract crowds from all over the world each year.

Which vacation town is the most desirable based on:

*Best hotel options
*Best restaurant/bar options
*Best variety of attractions for the family
*Best Theme Park options (Pigeon Forge has Dollywood and Branson has Silver Dollar City)
*Best mountain adventure area (Ozarks in Branson and Great Smokies in Pigeon Forge)
*Best overall time

Pigeon Forge is a lot bigger and busier than Branson especially when you count in Gatlinburg as well.

Neither is really a place I like to go spend my vacation. Same with the Dells

If you like Hiking i'd say Pigeon forge is better.

If you like water sports and golf I'd say Branson is better.

Tough call I guess Tennessee if only for the shorter trip and the hiking.

Pigeon Forge is in the mountains. That's a win for me.
