I thought the Hispanic population of KC metro would be a bit higher. Lots of Hispanic areas particularly on the Kansas side

Washington DC MSA surpasses Chicago MSA in total black population making it 3rd now behind NY and Atlanta by MSA.

DC also surpassed the 1 million mark with Hispanic population, giving at least the White, Black, and Hispanic population being over 1 million each.

DC also by MSA has the 4th largest Asian population in the United States, with a chance to be 3rd by 2020. The Asian population now 10% of the metro, will also crack 1 million mark by 2030.

There are 8 metro areas in the country that hold at least 1 million residents in three of the four racial groups:

New York
Los Angeles
Chicago
Dallas
Houston
Washington DC
Miami
San Francisco/Oakland

It’s interesting no other metro besides NY hits the million mark with 4 out of 4, especially for LA though so many blacks have left LA I suppose it makes sense.
