I would've chosen SD when I was younger, but as a middle-aged family man I don't see myself spending much time on the beach (or chasing those cute Diego girls ). The beer and Mexican food is still top-notch, though.

Ohhhh this is fun. Given your point-scoring criteria...Miami, Honolulu, and a Bay Area city/suburb. Tbh though, I couldn't see myself splitting time between 3 places. 2 is plenty...

I picked DC because there would always be something to do that interests us, plus it has proximity to the mountains and interesting places in the Northeast. That left me with one point, so I chose Nashville. That would keep us close to family.

I want to say Portland, but politically/socially it might a bit much.
Milwaukee.

I don't want anymore major or large cities. If I had a choice, I would much prefer smaller cities/communities and anywhere along the lower west coast or southwestern states (I'm talking less than 100,000), just not the desert......no way. I need everything within walking distance or at least easy to get to on a bike or train. If not the states, would have liked some southern hemisphere island or territory if my life situation would have been much different.
