Taking a cue from the recent Ohio thread, I thought it’d be interesting to do the same for North Carolina. What would you say and why?

There are plenty of cities in NC that are as conservative as Greenville. Remember, Charlotte and the Triangle are more the exceptions than the norm in NC.

The Upstate's conservatism is notable and sticks out in SC, so it certainly would in NC. Out of the 3 largest metros of SC and NC's four largest--the Upstate, Columbia, Charleston, Charlotte, the Triangle, the Triad, and Fayetteville--the Upstate is the only one with zero blue counties.

Greenville, it's right near the border with NC.

Richmond reminds me insanely of Winston but more walkability imo, but other than that, feels different.

I'd have to say Columbia, it just feels like something picked it up out of NC and dropped it in SC.

Greenville's downtown is nicer than almost any downtown area in NC, at least in my opinion, you'd think you were in a city 2-3x its size.

Charleston feels nothing like NC, maybe similar vibes to Wilmington and some other NC suburbs if you're in parts of Mt Pleasant.

Norfolk doesn't feel like anything NC.

Can't speak on any others.
