Its dang cold at night, Ive been there in January, Ive experienced it first hand. Day temps arent that bad, but once that sun went down.... I think what made it worse was we came up from PHX, where the lows were in the low-to-mid 40s. We stepped out of the car at the hotel (on Cerillos Rd near the outlet mall) into a recored 18 degrees and WHOA! Seriously, its cold, I dont care what you say. And the wind was pretty steep, too.

BacktotheWest, What makes YOU think that you know more than meteorologists who have been keeping weather records in Santa Fe for 50+ years? For Petes sake it IS cold there at night, no doubt about it. If you think temps in the low teens at night "isnt that cold", then will you say Chicago isnt cold in winter, too? Or what about Omaha? Buffalo?

Is anyone else as shocked as I am that Scranton managed to pull off a 60/40 split? I seriously thought Santa Fe would have wiped the floor with us! I suppose my big, fat yap and photo tours have changed people's minds about the 1990s runner-up for "Armpit of America."

Do you think someday you might step foot west of the Mississippi River for the first time and find out what this half of the country is like? Or even more exotic, west of the 100th parallel? Or does the limit of your world extend no further than the boundary of Lackawanna county? I've been to the east coast before. I've seen your photo tours. Some pretty pictures, some nice little towns, I'll give you that. But I've also seen Santa Fe and there's no comparison. Give me green chile or give me death!
