What is your favorite regional American accent? And if possible, give a reason why.
For me it would be Eastern Southern - an umbrella term for Virginia Piedmont, lowland Carolina type accents. They are different enough from Standard American while also seeming a bit more classy, no offense lol.
I will bite for Texas/Inland Western Southern. Sounds beautiful when I talk to Texans on the phone at work. However, unfortunately I think alot of people are just going to vote for their local area. Also people are going to hate my accent!

I don't, I love a strong NY accent! I'd probably rate it second, actually.

It depends, Dr. Phil sounds kind of annoying, but on some sexy cow-girl I'm sure it would sound like angels singing!

I've never understood why non-southern males may say that they dislike the southern accent if a man speaks it, but it's supposedly good if a female speaks with one?
On the average, women have thicker southern accents than men, discounting those of lower socioeconomic status.
Regional accents get on my nerves. Therefore, the west is my favorite regional accent, because it's largely non-existent.
Are you kidding me? The West has a very noticeable accent, or should I say "occent."
