So could I! I'm thinking of moving there - but not that garden specifically, since it's part of the Huntington Library and Gardens in the Pasadena area (I think technically in San Marino???). One of L.A.'s gems!

Oh, wow, I thought it was somewhere overseas or something, lol. Doesn't look like the type of place around L.A.

Well, I've never been out there, so I haven't gotten the chance to see the different landscapes.

You sound like you may have the experience I had. I don't know how you feel about L.A. now, having never been there, but I was under the impression from most people that it was horrible and that I'd hate it. I also felt like since they were a "rival" to NY that I didn't want to admit to anything that they had over "us".

My first trip, I won't go into detail, but I had the worst attitude and kept telling myself I hate it while being fascinated and enjoying myself, and when I left I just couldn't deny how much I loved it there, and to this day it's my favorite city along with NY. One day I will go there and not come back, I'm sure of it.

I just took my friend who is a native NY'er, born in Staten Island and lived in Manhattan and now lives in Brooklyn, and he's so fed up with the infestation of hipsters everywhere in NY that when he went to L.A. with me in December, he literally did not want to come home. He is now working on a plan to move there, even though it's nothing definite yet. That's how much an impact it had on him.

So be careful, you may find that when you go you may not want to come back...

No cities or towns... But places? These ones are TRUE paradise, no doubt.

The rivers and mountains of Southern Oregon and far 'Northwestern' California:

The Oregon Coast:

And the Redwoods, especially in Jedediah Smith State Park:
