Uhm...Im really surprised Philly's on the list...suburban Philadelphia is a GREAT place. Maybe its Camden, Chester, and Philly itself than really pull it down
Of course Miami is on this list -- Miami seems to make it on to every "top 5 worst" list these days.
Why? There's no simple answer, but a lot of it boils down to the fact that this is a real "dog eat dog" kind of place, where there's little or no respect, no manners, extreme greed and selfishness. Miami is a decaying swamp town, filled with people who do not care about the city, many of whom are from "somewhere else".
The best thing that could happen to Miami would be a category 5 hurricane, as harsh as that sounds. You really have to live here to understand why this place is so f**ked up.
Charlotte and Las Vegas' positions on the list are surprising. Pretty crazy that DC, St. Louis, Atlanta, and Oakland aren't on there at all.
The thing about Atlanta is that the city proper of 500,000 has a high crime rate per capita (in the top 20), but the entire metro area of 5 million is not that bad for its population.
Maybe this list will make all of the HATERS shut their mouth when they talk about NYC?
How so? Most people on here seem very aware of how low NYC's crime rate is.
