once or twice...i like to stay in shape though... rather have some fruit and a chicken breast out on the patio overlooking the sunset on typical california days under the palm trees
I am torn and I've pretty much had everything that has been noted on this thread.
I am also torn. I think it would depend on what I craved on any particular day. Gun to my head, it would probably be the northeast, but only because I am a product of that environment. But I can easily go over to the other side.
Using jar sauce is an insult to most italian families, lol. I always have a stock of her amazing sauce. Jar sauce is for non-italians lol.
But that's pretty cool for you. I bet you can't get decent italian food in SC lol.
I know that using a jar of Ragu is an insult to italian families and italian food
my point is that RAGU would taste better than the sauces they come up with...... yes, it is that bad. lol
There is one restaurant in columbia that is really good. It is owned locally by a family born in italy then moved to nyc. they are in their 50's and just moved to sc
my friends from jersey and philly checked it out when they came to visit me from charleston (hour and a half away from me) and they loved it
Do people realize "yankee" is a term from the 1950's and sounds outdated. Also, it is rude.
And referring to Southern people as hillbilly's and rednecks is somehow a compliment and not outdated either? Sorry but that is total BS that you think its rude and take offense to the term Yankee considering how you refer to people from the South on here. It's like the pot calling the kettle black.

Yeah, I know. How can a product of a father from the Mississippi Delta and a mother from SC near Myrtle Beach and the NC border, but born in Upstate NY not like any of these foods?
The southeast has some of the best homecooking out there imo. I love all that Southern/Soul/Cajun/Creole food so much. Too bad it's just so bad for you, I'd probably gain a good amount of weight if I lived all around that type of food.

Calling someone a hilbilly or a redneck is well known as being a term to put someone down. If you call someone one of those things on this site then you will get an infraction.
However, when a southerner calls someone a "yankee" it is meant to be a putdown. And it is a ok term to use in society and on these forums. It is a double standard
The term yankee from a southerner is used in the tone of......
1. The south is better than the north
2. Why are you in my territory you yankee
3. I expect you to be rude and impatient because you are from the north
Those are just three examples but you get the point. You LIVE in san diego. Move to SC and then people would call you a yankee to your face within a week. Then see how you like it
