Research Triangle Metro is not a city. It's a metro area comprised of several different cities, most notably Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill.

To be honest, none of these places are cities

They are all towns

Interesting. I'm certainly not surprised the Triangle's leading at this point (to be fair a small sample size thus far). Richmond's in strong second. 20 years ago that probably would not have been the case. Looks like Richmond is up and coming in many ways. Would be nice to get a larger sample size. I may prompt folks from the relevant City forums to take a look at this.
