Their respective teams played a great AFL Championship Game in 1962.

I also DEEPLY admire both cities. Both cities are in the Sunbelt, I LOVE the Sunbelt, and I was born n raised in the Sunbelt. Both are in Texas, I love Texas, I lived in TX for 8yrs. Texas has alot of Californians, I love Californians, I have dreams of going to California. Therefore I love BOTH.

I'm just speaking the truth. I LOVE the sunbelt states. CA, TX, and FL are my top 3favorite. I would live in all 3 if I could. I'd by houses from Miami, to West Palm, to Houston, to Austin, to LA, to the Bay Area. I don't live in any of the 3 right now, I live in NC, but I have lived in 2 of the 3(TX and FL). But California is a freakin awesome state. You're VERY lucky to live there.

Houston and Dallas may be cross state rivals, but both are awesome growing cities. Both are HUGE cosmopolitan metros. Dallas is the 4th largest in the US, while Houston I believe(correct me if I'm wrong) the 5th largest. Houston is the 4th largest city in the US. Both are also VERY diverse. I wish more people on C-D would recognize these 2 cities greatness instead of chastising them. But at the end of the day, I'm an Austinite, well, former Austinite. So I got ALOT of LOVE for Austin. Kudos to the State of Texas.

No I was serious about that. Being part of Texas is a compliment for most people. I don't know much about Dallas so there's not much I can say about it. It's a big city like Houston. I don't see much difference between Dallas and Houston.

Dallas and Houston make Texas an incredibly powerful state. Without the two the state would probably go mostly unnoticed.
