Little Rock, Arkansas: Pop 189,000
Urban 340,000
Metro 670,000
CSA 850,000 (keep in mind this CSA includes counties 2 hours from Little Rock)
Would people here consider it a city? Having lived there I can fairly say that I don't believe its a city, but rather just a big town. First, there is no mass transit of any kind. Second, there is no professional sports. Third, the culture is very rural and dated. Lastly, there is just nowhere in the town that feels even the slightest bit urban. Add honorable mention that Little Rock completely lacks anything close to the kind of entertainment, shopping, and dining that real cities have. So...is it a city or just a big town?
...and THEIR light rail system looks like this in Little Rock as of 2004:
LMAO!!!! Thats not light rail. Thats just a trolley that crosses the Arkansas river from the downtown "bar district" to the Alltel/Verizon arena. Hardly anybody is ever riding it because there is no point.
That's just like a bus on tracks. But it's still kind of cool I guess. The inside looks like crap though
HAHAHA ITS ALL WHITE PEOPLE!
