Heck even all the way down to 73rd these days, most of the storefronts and commercial spaces are taken--I LOVE IT.

That area is truly an example of authentic urban renaissance that didnt have to sell its soul to yuppies in order to succeed.

Kudos.

Nice photos, the Fruitvale area looks cool.

getting on the 1 train during the dominican day parade:

YouTube - Dominican Parade 2008 Uptown train

like i said in previous threads, if you are dominican or puerto rican, nyc is your second home even if you don't know it yet. anyway, lets get into this some more...

turn your head to the side and:

YouTube - Dominicana parada 2009

k, you need a break after that, lol. another train vid:

YouTube - Takin the train uptown Dominican parade 2009

now you get an idea of just how many of dominicans are in ny tho right?
now the ppl talking about how miami has more of a caribbean scene by far in the other thread can actually see that it wasn't so clear cut, right? ok lets go on:

Yeah Redwood City is the little Mexico of the USA...densely, crowded, heavily urban and very full of Mexicans in every corner of East Redwood City and the whole area of North Fair Oaks (some areas are classified such as ghettos). Redwood City is the most Mexican City in the Bay Area, you can nickname it "Taco City" or "Ciudad del Taco" in Spanish...because of the per capita offering taco restaurants (& loncheras trucks) to the population than any other city in the USA. Just Google it and you'll find it. I think Mexicans (Latinos also) are expanding through out the surrounding area of the downtown, more notable in Roosevelt neighborhood and in the west-side of the downtown is increasing too...making the city even more barrio feeling.

Give a 360° angle to each picture.

YUp, Redwood City has a good-size barrio, and even Mountain View has a bigger one than youd expect.

South San Jose has some huge barrios as well...

Also, Redwood City has some of the best taquerias on the planet
